Ellie Greenwich
Ellie Greenwich was an American pop singer, songwriter and producer. Alongside Jeff Barry and Phil Spector, she co-wrote many of the biggest hits of the 1960s including "Be My Baby", "Da Doo Ron Ron" and "Do Wah Diddy Diddy". These songs were first made classics by the girl groups of the 1960s such as The Ronettes and The Crystals, but equally famous versions were recorded by acts such as Manfred Mann and later by The Ramones.
