Bernie Lowe
American songwriter, record producer, arranger, pianist and bandleader Bernie Lowe was responsible for the establishment of Teen Records in 1955 and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's Cameo Records in 1956, which would later evolve into the Cameo-Parkway Records label. Lowe was responsible for starting the career of many great artists such as Chubby Checker, Dee Dee Sharp and Bobby Rydell. As a songwriter, he is best known for his collaboration with Kal Mann on the Elvis Presley No.1 hit "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear" in 1957.
