Otis Blackwell
Otis Blackwell was an American songwriter, singer, and pianist whose immortal compositions during the 1950s included Little Willie John's "Fever", Elvis Presley's "All Shook Up" and Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls Of Fire". Alongside regular songwriting partners Winfield Scott, Eddie Cooley and Jack Hammer, he helped formulate the musical vocabulary of rock 'n' roll, and in terms of their legacy and influence, these collaborations were on a par with those of Leiber & Stoller or Pomus & Shuman.
