Mike Stoller
Mike Stoller was an American songwriter and record producer, who is perhaps best known alongside his co-writing/producing partner Jerry Leiber. Mike Stoller was a composer and Jerry Leiber a lyricist. Together they are responsible for writing the Elvis Presley hits "Hound Dog" and "Jailhouse Rock", as well as the Ben E. King classic "Stand By Me". They began to focus on producing later in their careers, becoming highly influential in the emerging 'girl group' and Brill Building era. Stoller and Leiber were inducted as a pair into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1985 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
