Jerry Leiber
Jerome 'Jerry' Leiber and Mike Stoller were one of America's most successful songwriting and producing partners; Leiber being the lyricist and Stoller being the composer. 'Jailhouse Rock', 'Searchin', 'Yakety Yak', 'Spanish Harlem' and 'Pearl's a Singer' were just a few of their hits. They also won a Grammy for 'Smokey Joe's Cafe' the broadway musical which was nominated for 7 Tony Awards.
They were inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1985 and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
