Jeff Barry
Jeff Barry became one of the most respected pop songwriters within the Brill Building complex of the '60s, not an easy accomplishment considering the fact that Barry's in-house competition included Neil Diamond, Carol King and Neil Sedaka. With Phil Spector and Ellie Greenwich, he is credited with helping define the 'Girl Group' sound by providing hits for bands like The Dixie Cups and The Ronettes. He went on to produce hits for artists such as The Monkees. He has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and served as president of the National Academy of Songwriters.
