Hank Williams Sr.
Hank Williams was an American country songwriter and performer. His early death at the age of 30 curtailed a blossoming career that saw him regularly scoring #1 singles in the US country charts. He was a prolific songwriter, penning well over a hundred songs during his short career, many of which have been covered by famous musicians in the 50s and 60s such as Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Gene Vincent, and Carl Perkins.
