Hank Crawford
American R&B, hard bop, jazz-funk, soul jazz alto saxophonist, arranger and songwriter Hank Crawford acted as musical director for Ray Charles before starting his solo career where he went on to release songs such as "Misty", "The Peeper", "Skunky Green" and "Whispering Grass". His jazz album "I Hear a Symphony", went to No.11 on the Billboard jazz charts. He worked as an arranger for artists such as Etta James and Lou Rawls. As well as Ray Charles, Crawford recorded albums as a musician for numerous great artists such as Eric Clapton and B.B. King.
