Carlins catalogue spans a hundred years of popular music history. Vintage ballads, classics from the rock n roll years, numerous rock and pop best sellers, and even the latest boy band hits are among the vast range of titles that have been recorded by virtually every major recording artiste. The catalogue encompasses every conceivable style jazz, country, R&B, soul, pop, rock and dance while Leiber & Stoller, Phil Spector, Ray Davies, Dolly Parton, Aretha Franklin and Jim Steinman are just some of Carlins distinguished songwriters, but perhaps Carlin is perhaps best known on these shores for being the Publisher of the Elvis catalogue.
Carlins vintage catalogue, Redwood, contains over 500 evergreen standards such As Time Goes By , Blueberry Hill and Spread a Little Happiness and Carlin also publishes the scores to many well-known and much loved stage musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof and Cabaret, while many of its titles have featured in blockbuster motion pictures, including Whitney Houstons version of the Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You, which was featured as the title song in the film The Bodyguard
The company is actively signing and developing writing talent and is now one of the largest of the few remaining independent music publishers in the world. This catalogue lists but a small selection of the 150,000 titles that are published by Carlin.
