Howard and Blaikley Ken Howard & Alan Blaikley, often assumed to be one person writing as Howard Blaikley, formed one of the most successful UK songwriting partnerships of the 1960's. Following a stint working for the BBC the duo went on to discover and write for acts such as Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky Mick & Titch, The Honeycombs and The Herd. In addition to their many chart successes, Ken and Alan also enjoyed success writing musicals for London's West End stage, most notably with the hit musical Mardi Gras. Howard & Blaikley also had the privilege of writing songs for Elvis Presley, most notably his 1970 hit, I've Lost You.
