The Dixie Cups The Dixie Cups are an American pop music girl group of the 1960s. They are best known for their 1964 million selling disc, "Chapel of Love", which hit top of the charts, knocking The Beatles' "Love Me Do" out of the top spot. This earned the girls their first gold record. Thus The Dixie Cups were the first American group to "take back" the U.S. Cash Box and Billboard charts from the British Invasion. Today, The Dixie Cups continue to perform on the concert circuit, thrilling audiences with their pristine harmonies.
